Dr Mitul Shah
Practice Clinical Specialist in Periodontics
Mitul graduated in 2012 from King’s College London. After completing his foundation training in Oxford and working as a Senior House Officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery/ Restorative Dentistry, he was successfully accepted onto a specialist training programme at Guy’s Hospital. He completed this training in 2019, successfully passing his Master of Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent) examinations with Distinction. He also passed his Membership in Periodontics examinations with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.
Mitul provides comprehensive treatment for the management of complex gum disease, gum recession, gummy smiles and dental implant rehabilitation. He has held several roles in the British Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry (BSP), including as Chairperson of the Early Careers Group and sitting on the main council. Mitul has lectured nationally for the BSP and the International team for Implantology (ITI). He played an instrumental role in the development of the UK Adolopment of the S3 level clinical guidelines for the management of Stage IV Gum Disease. In recognition of his efforts, he has been invited to serve on the Faculty of the BSP.
